Stable Carbon Dots from Microwave-Heated Carbon Nanoparticles Generating Organic Radicals for In Situ Additions

چکیده

Carbon dots (CDots) are small carbon nanoparticles with effective surface passivation by organic functionalization. In the reported work, functionalization of preexisting N-ethylcarbazole (NEC) was achieved NEC radical addition. Due to major difference in microwave absorption between and species such as NEC, could be selectively heated via irradiation enable hydrogen abstraction generate radicals, followed situ additions radicals nanoparticles. The resulting NEC-CDots were characterized microscopy spectroscopy techniques including quantitative proton 13C NMR methods. optical spectroscopic properties dot sample found largely same those CDots from other schemes. high structural stability benefiting addition is highlighted discussed.

Total Organic Carbon and Stable Isotope Analysis on Bulk Organic Carbon

About 0.3 g of freeze-dried and powdered sediment sample was decalcified using HCl. Subsequently Total Organic Carbon (TOC) and δ 13 Corg concentrations were measured using a Fisons Instruments CNS NA 1500 analyzer coupled to a Thermo Delta Plus isotope ratio spectrometer. Results were normalized to international standards. Average analytical uncertainty based on duplicate analyses of sediment ...

Microwave-assisted polyol synthesis of carbon nitride dots from folic acid for cell imaging

A green, one-step microwave-assisted polyol synthesis was employed to prepare blue luminescent carbon nitride dots (CNDs) using folic acid molecules as both carbon and nitrogen sources. The as-prepared CNDs had an average size of around 4.51 nm and could be well dispersed in water. Under excitation at 360 nm, the CNDs exhibited a strong blue luminescence and the quantum yield was estimated to b...

In situ synthesis of luminescent carbon nanoparticles toward target bioimaging.

This paper describes the in situ synthesis of single fluorescence carbon nanoparticles (FCNs) for target bioimaging applications derived from biocompatible hyaluronic acid (HA) without using common conjugation processes. FCNs formed via the dehydration of hyaluronic acid, which were obtained by carbonizing HA, and partially carbonized HA fluorescence carbon nanoparticles (HA-FCNs), formed by a ...

Natural carbon-based dots from humic substances

For the first time, abundant natural carbon-based dots were found and studied in humic substances (HS). Four soluble HS including three humic acids (HA) from different sources and one fulvic acids (FA) were synthetically studied. Investigation results indicate that all the four HS contain large quantities of Carbon-based dots. Carbon-based dots are mainly small-sized graphene oxide nano-sheets ...
